Although “Texas Flood” has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, “Texas Flood” is structured around the common three chord blues progression. Welcome To The Family by Avenged Sevenfold Ah yes, I have returned from my long hiatus of YouTube videos and I have to say it’s good to be back. Thank you all for sticking with me despite my lack of constant videos over the last couple months. I have had to replace my video camera and have been extremely busy with my band, My Own Accord. We have our first album coming out in the next couple of weeks so if you manage to check it out I will love you forever! Thanks again for all of your support! So the new A7X album came out and it is incredible. I absolutely love it. RIP The Rev, he would be proud. Anyway, after my first listen through the album, this song really caught my attention. It’s an incredible song and the first of many more covers I plan on doing from this album. Anyway, this cover is a little sloppy and I apologize for some of the mistakes but I really liked the solo take for this and the improv solo I did in the bridge. For some reason it just stuck with me and I decided it was worth uploading this one. As I said before, thanks again for the support and for watching my videos! I plan on uploading a ton more covers and I’m also planning on starting some tutorials, instructional vids, originals, and some other stuff.
